PAR Holds 2005 Annual Conference and Luncheon on April 22

The Public Affairs Research Council will hold its 2005 Annual Conference and Luncheon on Friday, April 22, at the Holiday Inn-Select in Baton Rouge.
Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco will be the luncheon keynote speaker. The morning session of the conference will feature a panel discussion on the major issues to be addressed in the 2005 legislative session. Entitled “The 2005 Legislature: Short Session, Long on Issues,” the panel will include: Representative Karen Carter; Senator Gerald Theunissen; Governor’s Chief of Staff Andy Kopplin; Political Columnist John Maginnis; and PAR President Jim Brandt. Robyn Ekings, Correspondent with Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB), will moderate the morning’s panel session.
The half-day conference is open to the public, and the cost is $85 per person ($75 for PAR members). The luncheon is included in the price. Reserved sponsorship tables of 10 are also available at a cost of $1,000 or $750. PAR’s membership and Board of Directors will meet at 9:30 a.m., and the conference will begin at 10 a.m.
