PAR Releases “Guide to the 2006 Louisiana Legislature”

The Public Affairs Research Council (PAR) is now accepting orders for its Guide to the 2006 Louisiana Legislature. The 2006 Guide is presented in a handy, pocket-sized version with underwriting support provided by Entergy Louisiana.

“We are very pleased to offer our new legislative Guide in time for the Regular Legislative Session, which opens on March 27. The new format has proved to be very user-friendly and practical,” said PAR President Jim Brandt.

The 2006 edition includes pictures and biographical information on Louisiana’s legislators, statewide elected officials and congressional delegation. It also includes up-to-date mailing and e-mail addresses, phone and fax numbers of the state’s elected officials as well as committee assignments. House and Senate district maps and a capitol park map are featured.

Temporary addresses and phone numbers for elected officials displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita are specially noted in this year’s Guide. Updated contact information will be provided on PAR’s Web site (www.la-par.org) throughout the year.

PAR members will receive a free copy of the Guide to the 2006 Louisiana Legislature. Others may order copies of the Guide for $9.00 plus tax each. Substantial price breaks are also available for large orders.

Orders can be placed by mailing a completed order form to: PAR at P.O. Box 14776, Baton Rouge, LA 70898-4776. Forms can also be faxed to (225) 926-8417, or requests can be sent by e-mail to connie@la-par.org. For additional information, visit PAR’s Web site at www.la-par.org.
