2015 PAR Guide and Free App are Now Available
Posted: 04/01/2015
The Public Affairs Research Council (PAR) has just released its Guide to the 2015 Louisiana Legislature, along with an accompanying mobile app. The PAR Guide is a useful, pocket-sized booklet for citizens that is filled with key information about Louisiana’s elected officials and state agencies.
“The annual printed PAR Guide is chock full of resources about the Legislature and state government,” said PAR President Robert Travis Scott. “The leaner app version is increasingly popular and offers unique content of its own.”
The Guide includes biographical information, committee assignments, photographs and contact information for Louisiana’s legislators, statewide elected officials and congressional delegation. The Guide also includes sources of income from personal finance disclosures filed by legislators.
In addition, PAR has a new mobile app available for free that can be downloaded for both Apple and Android devices. The app will provide much of the same information contained in the paper Guide, but with exclusive content such as: state constitutional amendments, information on Sunshine Laws and links to regularly updated commentary from PAR.
Much like the annually published Guide, the PAR App is sure to become a resourceful tool for Louisiana citizens with its convenience of smartphone access and its regular updates. The app will be updated throughout the year.
Entergy and Ochsner Health System are sponsors of this year’s printed and app guides.
PAR members receive a free copy of the printed Guide to the 2015 Louisiana legislature. Others may order copies for $10 each plus tax and shipping with substantial price breaks available for large orders.
Orders can be placed online at www.parlouisiana.org or by mailing a completed order form to PAR at P.O. Box 14776, Baton Rouge, LA 70898-4776. Forms can also be faxed to (225) 926-8417, or requests can be sent by email to connie@parlouisiana.org
