2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season
As Louisiana braces for what the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicts will be another season of “above normal” hurricane activity in the Atlantic, the 2025 season also marks the 20-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, one of the most destructive and expensive hurricanes to hit the state.
2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season Forecast
While last year’s Hurricane Ian devastated Florida and the Carolinas, Louisiana experienced a quiet hurricane season in 2022. This year, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicts “near normal” hurricane activity in the Atlantic for the season that started June 1 and will end November 30.
